At The American School in Stockholm, student placement is based on a combination of the Swedish Education Act, international school guidelines, and our own admissions policies.
To ensure that each student is placed in the most appropriate grade level, we consider previous academic records, as well as perform placement assessments. These assessments help determine the student’s readiness for our curriculum, including any necessary support for language or special educational needs.
While our assessments are conducted in English, we also accommodate students who are new to the language, using materials suited for English as Additional Language learners.
